Claudette Lavallee
President

Claudette Lavallée has worked for more than 30 years in Mozambique, specialized in institutional reform process, having actively participated in the development and implementation of reforms in the drinking water and sanitation sector in rural and urban areas, as a member of technical and consulting teams or as a project director. As general manager of Prowater, Claudette ack as team leader of many projects, including training strategy, Institutional reform processes: formulation of policies and strategies, negotiation with stakeholders, public consultations, development of implementation plans and necessary legal instruments. Design, development, management, and implementation of large-scale projects.

Roy White
Vice President

Roy has been an international educator and school leader for over thirty years, serving as Head of five international schools across five countries, including two as Founding Principal. He is trained to chair accreditation teams for the Council of International Schools (CIS) and has held leadership roles in education groups across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Beyond education, he has founded an energy company, is an advisor to Transformative Projects with Operation Water, and has chaired or been a member of several boards and regional groups. He is delighted to help improve the quality of life of people in Mozambique and to raising educational standards.

Paola Prandini

Paola Prandini is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Wits Centre for Diversity Studies, in South Africa. She holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences, and a specialization in Communication Management as well as a Bachelor degree in Journalism. Co-founder of the Brazilian social business AfroeducAÇÃO; Senior Consultant at the Feminist Colaboratory Mukadzi, in Mozambique; Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator at Canada-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Founding member of the Brazilian Association of Researchers and Professionals in Educommunication. Author of several books, and the most recent published is “Conexão Atlândica: branquitude, colonialidades e educomunicação na África do Sul, no Brasil e em Moçambique” (2024).

Charlotte Hill

Charlotte Hill has served as the DREAMS Coordinator for the U.S. Mission/PEPFAR-Mozambique since March 2021. She first joined the U.S. Mission – PEPFAR –Mozambique in May 2015 and served as the PCO Strategic Information Advisor providing tech-nical assistance and acting as the liaison between the interagency team and OGAC on all matters related to M&E and Strategic In-formation. As DREAMS Coordinator, she leads the interagency DREAMS team and provides technical guidance and oversight to implementation towards preventing HIV infections among adoles-cent girls and young women.

Anderson Mburugu

Anderson is the Head of Finance and Compliance at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo, and formerly the General Manager of the Polana Serena Hotel in Maputo. He has vast financial experience having worked within the Serena Group of Hotels for over 23 years in various positions in Eastern Africa, including as Regional Credit Controller, Tourism Promotion Manager, and Credit Controller. He brings a wealth of expertise to the Chamber as a senior leader with direct knowledge of compliance, working with boards, and financial analysis and reporting

Honorata Chipepo

Honorata Chipepo is a seasoned business leader with over ten years of experience as Managing Director of nDimensões Digitais Lda, a leading software development firm in Maputo. In this role, she has spearheaded the development of innovative products, identified and responded to market needs, and driven digital transformation. Under her leadership, nDimensões Digitais, Lda has built a strong reputation for creating solutions tailored to the challenges of local and regional markets, while fostering innovation, guiding diverse teams, and forging strategic partnerships that expand opportunities. With more than 17 years of wider experience in development and international trade, she also brings expertise in investment facilitation, policy analysis, and strengthening the business enabling environment. As a Board Member of the Chamber, she is committed to advancing private sector growth, promoting innovation, and enhancing collaboration between business and government while driving private sector and trade growth.

Lino Jamisse
Lino Jamisse

Lino Jamisse is a seasoned translator and interpreter with a career spanning over four decades. Trained by the Mozambican Language Institute in 1983, he has since become a pillar in the translation industry, sworn in as an official translator by the Maputo Judicial Court in 1999. As the founder of LSJ Traduções e Serviços Lda, his expertise has been sought after by prestigious organizations such as The World Bank, IMF, and AKF, among other private and government entities. Lino’s dedication to bridging language barriers extends beyond his entrepreneurial ventures. For 28 years, he served the Canadian High Commission to Mozambique in various capacities, contributing significantly to diplomatic relations between Mozambique and Canada. His commitment to excellence and professionalism continues to enrich the translation and interpretation landscape as he provides freelance services, ensuring effective communication across borders and cultures.

Luisa Humbane

Luísa Humbane has worked in Container Terminal operations and logistics for over 24 years in Mozambique’s port sector. She spent 14 years at the Container Terminal in the Port of Maputo and later served as General Manager at the Nacala Export Container Terminal, where she played a leading role in the development of the Terminal, implementation of operational Procedures, and integration of HSE standards. With experience in marketing, sales, and regional logistics, she has helped position both Terminals as important hubs for local and international trade. She is also committed to community development, having partnered with the “Associação Água para Todos” to train and mobilize women and children in hygiene and sanitation in the South and North of Mozambique. Her journey combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to people.
